What is Salaam & UAIW Week
Salaam (Peace) Week is an annual week-long event showcasing the religion of Islam and its various aspects, for the purpose of promoting dialogue, discussion, and awareness on campus.
UIAW is an annual week-long campaign to represent the true message of Islam and its relevance to humanity, in today's contemporary context.
UIAW invites thousands of students, faculty, staff and people from all walks of life to learn about the universal and timeless message of Islam through the use of cutting-edge technology, marketing, and professionally planned da'wah (outreach/informational) booths, keynote lectures, and interactive live sessions.
Every year, a theme is chosen that focuses on delivering the true, unaltered message of Islam with the current context and climate in mind.

Salam Week will take place before Reading Week this time from February 25th to March 3rd.

SALAAM Week Dinner
Friday March 3rd :
The MSA is hosting a Salaam Week Dinner on Friday March 3rd from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Telus International Centre (TEL).
Come join us for a wonderful evening with Quran recitation, knowledgeable speakers, amazing company, and delicious dinner!
Dress code: Black Tie Formal 🤵🏻♂️
Tickets cost $20. Please buy your tickets by Tuesday February 28th at 11:59 pm. Limited tickets are available, so make sure you buy them before we’re all sold out!
